HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 12 (acn) Cuban President Raul Castro met Venezuelan Vice-President Nicolas Maduro, who is visiting Hugo Chavez in Cuba, this Friday afternoon
According to Granma newspaper Raul and Maduro shared their satisfaction for the very emotional demonstration of support to President Chavez in Caracas that took place this January 10.
Raul reiterated the solidarity of the Cuban people with the Bolivarian Revolution and its leader in the current situation and expressed his confidence in the capacity of the Venezuelan people and their institutions to face and overcome any challenge.
Attending the meeting were Venezuelan Minister of Science and Technology Jorge Arreaza, general Attorney Cilia Flores, relatives of President Chavez and Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez.
