02/01/13 - Prensa Latina (Habana) - Músicos estadounidenses en concierto-conversatorio en Cuba

La Habana, 1 feb (PL) Músicos y compositores estadounidenses de la
Universidad Rice de Houston ofrecerán aquí un concierto-conversatorio el
próximo día 28, como parte de un encuentro con colegas cubanos, anunciaron
los organizadores.

Según nota del Laboratorio Nacional de Música Electroacústica, que
auspicia la cita, estarán presentes Arthur Gottschalk, Kurt Stallmann,
Nicolai Jacobsen, Charles Halka, Robert McClure y el artista visual Alfred
Guzzetti.

De Cuba lo animarán Roberto Varela, Juan Piñera, Sigried Macías, Maday
Licor y Maureen Reyes.

Unos 12 temas serán interpretados, siete de esos de compositores
estadounidenses, entre ellos Failing to resist, de McClure, Live bass
improv, de Halka y Arecibo, de Gottschalk.

La sala Manuel Galich, de Casa de las Américas, será la sede del encuentro
que auspicia además la Dirección de Música de esa institución cultural y
el Centro Nacional de Música de Concierto.
