02/28/13 - Agencia de Información Nacional (Habana) - Saudi Health Minister to Visit Cuba
HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 28 (acn) Saudi Arabia's Health minister, Doctor Abdullah Abdulaziz Mohammed Al-Rabeeach, will pay a visit to Cuba March 3-6, according to diplomatic sources in the capital Riyadh.
Saudi health authorities are interested in learning of the Cuban National Health System, its primary health attention program and scientific and technological advancement in the medical field. They are also looking forwards to exploring opportunities for bilateral cooperation.
On the invitation of Cuban Health minister Doctor Roberto Morales, the Saudi official will meet an agenda that includes visits to Havana's Hermanos Ameijeiras Clinical Surgical hospital, the institutes of Ophthalmology, Cardiovascular Surgery and the International Neurological Restoration Center.
Doctor Al-Rabeeah will tour the Frank Pais Scientific and Orthopedic Complex and the Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Center. He will also meet with health officials and government authorities, according to PL news agency.
