03/05/13 -  Agencia de Información Nacional (Habana) - Elias Jaua: Funeral of Chavez will be on Friday
 
HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 5 (acn) Venezuelan Foreign Minister Elias Jaua announced
on Tuesday that the funeral of President Hugo Chavez will take place on
Friday, March 8, at the Military Academy of Caracas, and that seven days of
national mourning have been decreed.
  
In an address broadcast by the Telesur television network, Jaua expressed
his gratitude for the demonstrations of solidarity sent by heads of state
of numerous nations.
  
He called the people to maintain peace as one of the most important
legacies instilled in them by Chavez and a duty of all so the Bolivarian
Revolution can carry on.
  
The foreign minister called upon the adversaries to show due respect to the
sorrow of the people and the memory of its leader.
