(IPK) has trained some 50,000 scientists of 88 countries from around the

director of the IPK, explained that this educational program, taking place
since 1980, includes master's degrees, trainings, doctorates and courses,
and has benefited specialists from Latin America, Africa, the United
States, Canada and Europe.
With 163 categorized professors, that center, a Collaborator in the
Struggle against Dengue and Viral Diseases of the Pan-American and World
Health organizations is an example of integration.
In Cuba, there are six centers authorized to give scientific degrees: the
Medical Sciences universities of Havana, Las Villas, Camaguey and Oriente
(Santiago de Cuba), the National School of Public Health, and the Pedro
Kouri Tropical Medicine Institute, she stated.
