HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 23 (acn) Cuba's Ciego de Avila Tigers took the title at
the 2013 World Baseball Challenge, held in Canada, after edging Japan 14-4.
With a strong offensive that included 16 hits, the Cubans defeated the
JX-Enesos of Yokohama at the Citizen Field stadium, which hosted the
Cuban Right-handed Yander Guevara took the victory and Yapanese left-handed
Motoshi Oshiro left with the defeat.
With this result the Cuban team became the World Baseball Challenge Champ
with six victories and only one setback in the preliminary stage against
China Taipei. Cuba recover the title that had won two years ago at this
