10/30/09 - Prensa Latina (Habana) - Cuba Appoints New Ambassador to Holy See
Havana, Oct 30 (Prensa Latina) The State Council of the Republic of
Cuba has appointed Eduardo Delgado Bermudez as new extraordinary and
plenipotentiary ambassador to the Holy See, Granma newspaper reported
Friday.
Before his appointment, Delgado was occupying the post of General
Director of the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
Delgado joined a group of dozens of Cubans appointed recently as
ambassadors in countries of Latin America, Africa, Asia, Europe, and
international organizations.
Cuba and the Holy See established diplomatic relation in June, 1935.
