11/01/09 - Prensa Latina (Habana) - Fidel Sends His Regards to Cuban Doctors

Havana, Nov 1, (PL).- The leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro sent
his regards to the Cuban medical brigade that will participate in the Moto
Mendez solidarity Mission that will research handicapped people in Bolivia.

During the farewell ceremony the Cuban Public Health Minister Jose Ramon
Balaguer transmitted Fidel Castro's message to the 73 collaborators that
comprise geneticists, psychopedagogues, neurophysiologists and specialists
in other disciplines.

According to the Cuban TV report doctor Mabys Casamayor considered
honourable and noble the duty of giving this support to the Bolivian people.

The only one of its type in the world the program was successful in Cuba and
Venezuela and is getting progress at this moment in Ecuador and Nicaragua
also supported by Cuban doctors and experts from the Caribbean island.

The Cuban Public Health Deputy Minister Mabys Casamayor told Prensa Latina
that the collaborators from the Antilles nation reached people that have
never seen a doctor and societies whose existence is unknown.

"We have outstanding collaborators devoted to their work and we are proud of
them," emphasized the leader.
